Dear Karl, Georgie, John, Sarah, and the GOP machine ...

When you convinced people that deferring military service during the draft and abandoning your post were no big deal, you taught the American sheeple that criticizing this country wasn’t anti-American (which btw it isn’t).

When you convinced the sheeple that past drug use (even cocaine) was excusable and in the past, you taught the sheeple to get over it and ignore such youthful transgressions.

When you invaded the wrong country, staffed the administration with Nixonian neo-cons, and started shredding the Constitution (we weren’t really using the civil rights, were we?), you lost the power to rally the sheeple with an “old washed up terrorist.”

When you left an entire region to literally rot in the fetid flood waters of Katrina, you lost your credibility that you know how to revitalize anything. When you say “heck of a job” to a hack, you lost your credibility in criticizing an intelligent, educated, and intellectually curious person.

When you hung a war hero and respected statesman out to dry for your misdeeds, you don’t get to call his motives into question when he endorses the other side.

When you spent the surplus, ballooned the national debt, and exploded budget deficits; when you deregulated the financial world into anarchy; and when you effectively raised the middle class’s taxes by pauper-ing (via unfunded mandates and expensive war costs) the states; you don’t get to call new ideas of fixing your shit “socialism.”

And after all the voter fraud and intimidation that quite possibly elected your guy in 2004, you don’t get to whine when millions upon millions of individual Americans send in incremental donations to the candidate of their choice. That’s not buying an election, that’s democracy.

Sincerely,

An American Voter
