I Thought There Wasn't Any News on Saturdays?

“Barack Obama’s attacks on Americans who support John McCain reveal far more about him than they do about John McCain.”

This is 95% correct. Obama’s attacks on Americans who should “Kill Him” reveals a lot about Obama. Obama’s attacks on people who call him a terrorist reveal a lot about Obama.

But where it’s incorrect in that is says it reveals more about Obama than it does about McCain. It reveals more about McCain. It reveals that he’s irresponsible in his leadership and in his strategy. His campaign would rather drive a crowd into a furious frenzy of hatred and misinformation than rationally deal with the economy and other issues.

Here’s another choice comment from a McCain promoter (J.P. Freire of the American Spectator and guest on MSNBC): “Unfortunately, no one wants to be a racist.

Really? It’s unfortunate that no one wants to be a racist? I guess so, for the McCain campaign, since if the country had more racists, he’d be doing better in the polls.

I forgive a slip of the tongue as well as the next person (hey, I like Joe Biden), so in reality, I don’t think Freire meant what he actually said. But I do believe the McCain campaign in uncaring that they are driving a hate-fueled campaign designed to lead the sheeple into equating terrorist and Obama in their heads so as to make them afraid to vote for him in November. However, I don’t think it will work. That was the tactic in 2004 and we all know how the country turned out as a result of that. What I’m truly worried about if McCain continues this is that someone will get hurt.
